Providing integrated design planning the group brings process excellence and standardization in planning including a reliable estimating, scheduling and cost forecasting system. They serve as educators for their customers bringing strong resources to the system, and reviewing all efforts with an eye towards environmental impact. The department provides the necessary selection, contracting, supervision, management and leadership of system-wide program management services for capital design and construction projects. They are accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining the policies, procedures and systems supporting capital projects executed to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction and increase the productivity and financial results of all BJC facilities. The department also provides leadership and technical direction in the development of program control, benchmarking and measurement standards that meet the demands of the strategic needs of BJC HealthCare Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and ensuring compliance with financial processes and programs that support the execution and completion of capital projects to meet the strategic needs of BJC HealthCare. Responsible for tracking financial metrics and performance for both individual capital projects and PD&C/facility operations. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Develops and supervises financial processes that support the progress and completion of capital projects, including but not limited to: executes legal documents that comply with BJC master agreements for project execution, vendor payment processing, financial closeout of projects, third-party reimbursements, construction auditor selection, project management software administration and improvements, extension requests on active capital project funding, measurement of department labor productivity rate in comparison with industry best practice, project funding requests, and measuring diversity compliance for contract and workforce requirements. Manages financial reporting process for PD&C department and individual projects; develops, tracks, and ensures compliance with department budgets; develops department spending forecasts on monthly basis. Develops statement of cash flows and long-term cash flow projections for PD&C?s capital projects, both individually and as an overall portfolio. Develops monthly Facilities Dashboard that measures comparative utility and purchased service cost for each BJC facility relative to their respective budgets and as a function of staffing and square footage. Analyzes financial statements, assesses risk and provides recommendations on new applicants to PD&C?s Toolbox (approved vendor list).
