Our impact increases exponentially as we address one specific, community-identified need each year, in each GreenLight site. Position Overview We seek a driven, highly organized, and community-focused Program Manager with 5-7 years of experience and a passion for equity and promoting economic mobility for Detroiters. This position will report to the Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Detroit, and work collaboratively across a growing local team as well as the GreenLight Fund national network of sites. Key Areas of Responsibility Work closely with the Executive Director and Selection Advisory Council to execute the GreenLight Method, ensuring alignment with community needs by leading the following team processes: Research current, relevant community-based social issues and priorities confronted by children, youth and families facing historical barriers to social and economic mobility. Perform local landscape analysis including qualitative and quantitative market research, data evaluation and attending meetings with key stakeholders and relevant local leaders with the Executive Director. Conduct due diligence of prospective organizations, completing financial and impact assessments to determine readiness and ability to scale and replicate their program model Foster and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to understand local needs and build collaborative partnerships. Create and implement a strategy to engage with individuals with lived experience, ensuring their voices are heard and incorporated into the selection process Support with portfolio management by researching and connecting with capacity-building resources and community partnerships for staff hiring, participant recruitment, and local brand building opportunities to meet the needs of new portfolio organizations. Work in partnership with the Executive Director to research and connect with private and public funding opportunities identified by portfolio organizations for their fundraising efforts. Lead the planning and execution of quarterly portfolio gatherings. Execute site data collection and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of programmatic information. Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders and funders, highlighting program impact and outcomes. Work across national sites to identify internal best practices to replicate and implement locally. Other tasks as assigned. Location This position is based in Detroit. Qualifications The ideal candidate will be an organized, collaborative, and results-oriented professional with 5-7 years demonstrated experience in the following qualifications: Proven experience in program management across different and simultaneous workstreams in the nonprofit sector. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill key findings across multiple data sets and information. Commitment to and understanding of the Detroit community and the social issues affecting it. Familiarity with data collection and evaluation processes in a social impact context. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Additional Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience researching public funding for nonprofit entities through grant writing and/or the appropriations processes on the local, state, and federal levels. Previous experience with grantmaking and due diligence of nonprofit organizations. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position is $84,000 annually.GreenLight Fund offers a generous benefits package that includes: Health Insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield (80% paid by GLF, 20% by the employee for employees and family members) Dental and Vision Insurance through Guardian (80% paid by GLF, 20% by the employee for employees and family members) Full coverage of all mental health visit copays through Blue Cross Blue Shield (100% paid by GLF) Safe Harbor 401k.
