Summary: Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO) will be participating in the Disaster Case Management Program for parts of the south shore and north shore greater New Orleans area. CCANO's main responsibility will be to serve and coordinate services for people affected by Hurricane Ida under the guidance provided by FEMA-DCMP. As a provider, CCANO will employ Program Management Leads who will oversee the overall case management process that assists clients in their recovery through direct services, advocacy, and empowerment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This position requires strong organizational, relational, and communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. The Program Management Lead will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to provide excellent customer service and case manager support under these circumstances. Must have demonstrated experience coaching others and extensive knowledge of disaster response and/or case management. Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential. Applicant should demonstrate the ability to relate well to people of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds and have a commitment to CCANO's mission. Reliable transportation and the capacity to work efficiently in the field is a must since the majority of time will be spent working in the various offices where the case manager teams are located. Responsibilities Program Support The Program Management Lead will be responsible for supporting and working closely with the team of supervisors and case managers under the directives provided by the Program Manager. Will help oversee the compliance with deliverables, guidance and regulations stated by the DCMP contract and CCANO. Is responsible to adjust program activities according to any changes that emerge throughout the implementation of the program. Will support the supervisor with case reviews, closures, time keeping, reporting, monitoring data quality, timeliness and accuracy of data, transmittal processing and tier level assessments. Will oversee all day-to-day operations of the case manager supervisor and their teams of case managers. Coaching & Consultation Program Management Lead will provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and team(s) of case managers. Must assist with supervisors/case managers troubleshooting issues with individual cases and/or to help strengthening areas of undeveloped skills. Will work closely with the supervisors to address emerging issues, , consult on individualized recovery plan strategies and develop and support the program's training plan. Will take over supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor. Will provide coaching to case managers manage conflict and complaints and facilitate disciplinary actions when necessary. Will have an active role in the case manager's performance evaluations. LTRO Consultations: Will work with supervisors to understand the Unmet Needs Committees' requirements and procedures for case presentations. The Lead will review and approve all LTRO case presentations. Will provide support to supervisors on difficult cases regarding resources and resolutions options. Will be responsible for ensuring that the case managers have what is necessary for successful case presentations to the LTRO. LTRO Interface Lead will interface with the LTRO and will coordinate with the supervisors to ensure a presence at the applicable LTRO meetings. Will oversee reporting case management activities and other information as required for the proper function and support of the LTROs. Single point of entry Lead will be responsible for reviewing the initial evaluation and assessment of new clients, will determine the tier level and will decide what case manager gets the assignment. Will work with supervisors to handle any complaint or request that comes through the main program line. Is responsible for managing and staffing the main line, managing internal referrals, and the providing of basic information and referrals as needed to incoming callers. Construction Cost Analyst Coordination The Lead will be responsible for coordinating the use of the construction cost analyst. Assisting in prioritizing cases for inspection and determining estimate issues when needed. Client Transfers Lead will work with Program Manager in facilitating seamless transitions of cases to other agencies when necessary and for receiving incoming cases from other agencies. Donations and Resource Lead will work closely with the program assistant to obtain, store, transport and distribute donated items. Will identify and compile the needs of the clients, identify the resource, and finalize the transaction of the donated items. Other task as assigned by supervisor Overall, the Lead will work with the supervisors to ensure cases are moving forward, provide feedback and ideas to assist the case, identify resources, ensure adequate placement of clients in appropriate tiers, and ensure case managers are providing regular and adequate follow-up to clients. Monitoring of daily activities and the resolution of the client's issues is paramount. Will ensure that services are rendered appropriately with respect, compassion and care for the client. Lead must ensure case managers meet their tasks and deadlines, anticipate problems and develop solutions. Lead must be willing to be part of an interactive team, participate in management meetings and take over other assigned tasks as they arise. Must be able and willing to cope with changing environments, show flexibility and must be a problem solver. Must assess and address the team's morale focus on developing a cohesive team. Lead will also take on additional functions as determined by the Program Manager. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required and four years experience in the social service field preferred. Previous supervisory experience required. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required. Bilingual applicants preferred. Reports to: Program Management Lead reports to the Program Manager.
