Job Summary: As a Production Technician, your responsibility will be to assist in the production of large diesel engines and generators that power the world. What you will do: * Perform duties associated with the production of Caterpillar Diesel Engines and Generators within the production assembly line. * Report to Section Managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands * Align and secure engine components as directed by work instruction * Align and install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components * Ensure that parts and materials used in the assembly process are free from quality defects * Verify correct alignment of engine components using engine schematics and part prints * Submit and assist with the resolution of Continuous Improvement Cards * Follow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions * All other duties as assigned What you will have: * Must be 18 years old * Must be a 2024 High School graduate * Willingness to learn and operate power equipment * Ability to work well with others * Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English * Willingness to work a set schedule including overtime when needed Physical Requirements: * Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time * Ability to perform repetitive operations * Ability to lift at least 20lbs. and up to 80lbs. Shift Opportunities: 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM Overtime as required 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM Overtime as required What you will get: * $17.50 per hour 1st shift * $19.25 per hour 2nd shift * Most national holidays off with pay * Safety shoe allowance up to $125 * Provided uniforms and personal protective equipment * Climate controlled facility * Clean & safe work environment All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any Caterpillar position: * Background Check Screening * Drug Screening * Medical History Screening Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
