TITLE Production Technician, Forklift operatorGrandview, WA REPORTS TO Operations Manager SUMMARY Works in a variety of areas, production, sanitation, and drum washing for the company. SALARY RANGE $18.86 - $25.15 per hour BENEFITS Employees receive twelve paid holidays and earn 40 hours of paid vacation per calendar year (pro-rated during the first year of employment).After 90 calendar days of employment, employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our Company's 401K retirement savings plan with Company matching contribution up to 7%.Link to full benefits package: https://s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/jms-s3-com-jms-p-pmc6/assets/careers/employee-benefits/baag_hourly_grandview.pdf KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing PracticesProduce high quality products in a safe, sanitary, and healthful mannerMaintain documentation and production records that are legible, accurate, and completeCommunication with team leaders, leads, maintenance, and all production personnel to achieve self-sufficient team goalsUnderstands and applies HACCP, plant quality, plant GMP's, and food safety requirements to the daily performance of the jobPerforms housekeeping and sanitation duties, according to company SSOP's. Maintain a clean work environmentMust be able to work any shift, including weekends and overtime as needed while maintaining a good attendance recordFlow to the work in all areas of productionAbility to work as part of a team and assist others as needed SELECTION CRITERIA Education High school degree or equivalent is required Other Minimum age of 18Two years previous manufacturing experience a plusMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's, and general instructions as well as carry out both oral and written communication skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out both oral and written instructionsAbility to effectively read, comprehend, and fill in production forms accurately with dates, times, temperatures and other processing informationAble to work with and around cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation dutiesPrevious forklift driving experience a plus Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift (67-100%)Employee is regularly required to use hands and arms for reaching/grasping /handling/ fine finger manipulation during the day (67-100%)Employee must be able to work any shift (day or night) including weekendsEmployee must be able to occasionally squat, bend, work above shoulders, climb stairs or ladders (11-33%)Employee must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lb. (34-66%)Employee must be able to seldom lift 60 lb. (1 - 10%)The employee must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and bump caps.
