Production - Tape Technician

Position Summary: The Tape Technician is responsible for completing processes relating to the certified tape that meet WDPI standards for safety, security, and productivity. This person will primarily support certified tape operations by inspecting, testing, and cleaning all incoming tape in order to achieve department goals. This position reports to the Manager Certified Tape Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect incoming product for manufacturer and shipping damage Process product in testing equipment and interpret the results Clean product with chemicals and/or heat if necessary Package tapes into cases or remove cases per order requirements Print and apply barcode labels to tape per customers specifications Scan labels on incoming tape shipments for customer verification, may include sending reports to sales team Demonstrate reliability and dependability Work on a daily basis with limited direct supervision Work with Operations team members to ensure department goals are met/exceeded. Maintain a high level of accuracy as it relates to company standards. Provide input and feedback on department process and procedure improvements Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with WDPI's Safety Standards Assist in shipping, receiving and general warehouse areas as requested by Supervisor Attend team/company meetings and training Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent Reliable and stable work history Basic computer knowledge Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Data Center Experience is a plus Physical Job Requirements: Lifting up to 40 pounds Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Good hand/eye coordination Continual use of hands and fingers Ability to reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, bend, twist and crouch to inspect & test equipment Requires ability to focus while performing repetitive tasks Ability to read and comprehend work-related information Ability to take work direction Work Environment: Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during the core business hours of Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Overtime as required by business needs May have frequent distractions/interruptions. May work as an individual or as a member of a team Noise level: Occasionally loud.
