The Production Support adds value by leading their team to achieve quantity and quality production goals. The expectation is to take ownership of the designated work center. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations and Performance Measures What measures or metrics will the individual be measured on and what level of performance is required? Other duties may be assigned. Safety (strictly enforced). Follows all safety rules, proper ergonomics and safety programs. Always wears the proper PPE, clothing and footwear. Adheres at all times to the Entanglement policy. Owns daily cleanliness of work area. Maintains area orderly, clean and free from hazards. Mandatory attendance of all assigned safety training and adherence to all safety policies and practices. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Learn quality aspect of product in order to reduce waste. Ability to work in a teamwork setting Quality before quantity. Demonstrates a commitment to quality in all products, processes and services. Seeks to improve. High quality at all times and does not pass on poor quality for quantity. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Manufacturing experience a plus Mechanical ability a plus Reporting Line and Supervisory Responsibilities Reports to Department Supervisor/Production Manager Physical Demands and Work Environment What working conditions or physical functions are normally required to perform the essential functions of the job? The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill/wood environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
