Empire Coating is hiring a Production Planner to join our growing team! CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide an efficient production schedule for a multi-step conversion process to meet customer demands Included in the scope of this role is managing staffing, creating work orders based on customer demands, and inventory control (materials/packaging/finished products) Manage, coach and development a team of operators Develop and monitor production schedules daily and liaise with the Customer Services / Production departments and prioritize production plans Monitor and schedule appropriate staffing levels based on customer demand Monitor and evaluate capacity requirements with timely communication of potential issues Work with Manufacturing team to establish standard cycle times Ensuring all health & safety standards are met to keep the organization accident-free Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production Manage production schedule for on-time delivery Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact on-time delivery Build familiarity with all core business processes and departments involved to assist with building ERP system SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:30pm MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment Ability to work and make decisions under pressure Excellent communication skills, reporting and dialogue at all levels Good time management skills Have a strong understanding of manufacturing site functional departmental needs BENEFITS SUMMARY: Paid weekly Health Insurance 401k Plan 401k Match Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Paid Sick Leave Supplemental Benefits Company-paid Life Insurance Policy ABOUT US: Empire Coating is committed to helping our customers solve their functional and decorative coating application needs.
