Description:
Job Summary: Plans, organizes, and monitors Production activities to ensure that customer needs are met. Helps meet company's inventory goals. Utilizes ERP system for order processing, material management, and financial tracking. Essential Functions: Establish priorities for manufacturing based on Production schedule and Sales forecast. Coordinate with Sales to plan for spikes in demand, special orders, or potential opportunities. Coordinates repair or replacement of returned materials. Create work orders and ensure the accuracy of inventory transaction in the ERP system. Monitor and reconcile inventory discrepancies in the ERP system. Maintain inventory levels for parts that require processing by an outside supplier, and create service purchase orders. Create part numbers and bills of material in ERP system. Establish and maintain settings for MRP or Kanban fulfillment. Monitor and adjust costed bills of material for sub-assemblies and finished goods in the ERP system. Provide Sales & Marketing with lead time information for customer demand. Gathering and posting of key production measurements, schedules, and rates. Additional tasks that may be assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years' experience in a production planning/materials control function or equivalent combination of education and experience Hands-on experience in developing master production schedules and materials requirements plans. Demonstrated planning experience in support of high customer service levels in a complex supply chain environment. Current APICS CPIM certification preferred. Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. Knowledge of VISUAL Manufacturing, or a similar ERP system. Solid Excel skills. Computer literacy applied to scheduling and data management Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
