Tired of working weekends? Come join a growing production team that offers a Monday - Thursday schedule, with occasional required overtime on Fridays. We have an opening for a Production Operator to join our team. The general goal of this position is to ensure a safe working environment, build teamwork, increase productivity, and increase employee morale in order to efficiently run all production orders on a given production line. Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 230+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years. Duties: Follow all safety policies and procedures Follow food safety guidelines and GMPs Work closely with production personnel to ensure an effective startup Effectively use the First In, First Out (FIFO) method Assist with changeovers on machines Troubleshoot and solve issues regarding the labeler, code dater, and metal detector Ensure that all personnel that are boxing are properly trained and checked for safety, quality, and performance on a daily basis Track time of shutdowns before breaks and start up after them Be trained to fill in as a machine operator Requirements : Ability to read and understand a production Pull Sheet and Spec Sheet Shift: Days: 5:30am-4:00pm Mon-Thu (some overtime required on Fridays) Pay: Up to $16.60/hour ($14.60/hour + $2.00/hour bonus potential) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, company-provided life insurance & more!
