It is the expectation of each employee to perform tasks with the utmost of integrity to assure food safety, legality, and quality requirements are always maintained within the capacity of the assigned position. Purpose: To safely operate varies machines and equipment in a peanut butter processing facility. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties: Assignments may include duties in roasting, grinding, mixing or packaging areas. Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment. Perform basic and routine adjustments and cleaning of machines. Monitor machines during production to ensure proper operation. Conduct random tests to validate accuracy of machines. Collect test samples of product and/or materials to verify complaince with specifications. Stock material in designated areas for next shift. Record production data on appropriate forms. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications: Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process. Attention to detail. Ability to read work instructions and safety information. Sufficient written communication for production reporting. Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred. On-the-job training provided. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, squating, climbing, pushing-pulling and walking. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts which may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Must wear required personal protective equipment.
