Digitran, a unit of Electro Switch, located in Rancho Cucamonga Ca., is currently seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager. This position, reporting directly to the Vice President, is responsible for the advancement of the Switch product lines in the Commercial and Military Aviation/Aerospace, and Defense markets through development of new business/market and product opportunities. Working closely with product and design engineering, leads the development and implementation of strategic growth, product, and market objectives. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: This individual is an integral part of the management team and works closely with Engineering, Production, and Planning. The Product Marketing Manager shall be responsible for the following main activities but not limited to: Research Defined Markets and Businesses to create opportunities to expand business Acquire a strong understanding of company products and capabilities. Gain insights on customer use cases to identify untapped opportunities Overall development and implementation of approved product sales, pricing and marketing goals and strategies. Continuous development and utilization of the Website as a marketing tool, development of product literature, catalogs, technical application bulletins, etc. Lead direct marketing efforts traveling and contacting customers maximizing in person and virtual face to face meetings to present products and capabilities and to understand and discuss their evolving needs. Manage Customer Service / Sales Order Entry (one person) and acts as their back-up as required. Generate weekly sales/marketing reports and quarterly Sales & Marketing Strategy presentation material. Attend trade shows and industry conventions. Works closely with Engineering in bid preparation, product costing, pricing and customer response. Formulates pricing per policies and procedures in response to customer's RFQs. Act as the Contract Administrator and Program Manager. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 10 years combined work experience in sales, product management or Mil-Aero/Aviation/Defense Market experience desired. Experience with overall development and implementation of annual product sales/marketing goals, budgets. Experience with product costing, bid preparation, forecasts and pricing strategies Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Technical skills as required to create proposals and identify customer unmet needs. Excellent organization skills to meet goals and set priorities Strong problem-solving skills, financial, and business planning abilities. Familiar with ISO 9001, AS 9100, FARs, and ITAR procedures and practices. Familiar working with an ERP system. Proficient at using MS-Tools creating spreadsheets and presentations.
