Security Clearance Requirement: Current clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance Location Note: Candidates should be local to Plano and available for on-site work 3-5 days/per week, depending on need. Travel: Less than 25% Position Description: This position is the Product Manager, Senior for Oceus which is a Director level position and will report to the CTO. This role oversees all Oceus product management activities and focuses on fast time to market and high-quality products. Oceus Networks provides market leading communication products to our customers. Oceus follows an Agile/Scrum methodology process with heavy leverage of GIT. This position requires a dynamic leader with the ability to effectively manage their business. Qualified candidates will have expertise to support: Oceus Co-Product ownership along wtih the Director of R&D to include: product roadmap, product descriptions, product packaging ordering guidelines, and datasheets Fulfill some Project Management responsibilities including scheduling and tracking Evaluate new products or competing products in our technology space Lead the product requirements and feature prioritization process Member of the CTO Engineering Product Steering Committee Lead the New Product Introduction process and team which will consist of key OCEUS leadership stakeholders Manage 3rd party relationships for key technology partners Provide reporting for weekly, monthly, and quarterly status on projects and products Direct support of account teams on requirements, scheduling, prioritization, and product presentations Develop and maintain corporate Product Management policies and procedures consistent with company objective Communicate with company personnel on roadmap, projects, priorities, and timelines Develop short-term and long-term goals for Product Management Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, Monitor, Manage, Execute and Report on Oceus Product Management activities Represent the company's roadmap to customers, partners, and key stakeholders Work closely with CTO on roadmap. CTO will set strategic direction on the roadmap, but Product Management will provide key strategic input and own and maintain the roadmap Interacts with customers and/or vendors as required Work closely with the R&D Project Managers Work closely with Plano Labs Project Managers Work closely with division account teams for planning, reporting, and customer meetings Work closely with division Sales Engineers to provide Technical Support for evaluations, costing, product descriptions, datasheets, packaging, presentations, and cost data Work closely with account teams to understand market requirements and create key user stories to facilitate the development of solutions and product requirements Be a product evangelist with customers, prospects, analysts, partners, executive stakeholders and employees Lead customer journey design across the entire user experience Work closely with the Systems Engineering team on the evaluation of 3rd party products Work closely with Sales Operations on packaging and pricing Work closely with customers, partners, and vendors Work with suppliers of hardware and software, including negotiations Manage to an approved budget Interacts with Managers, Project Managers, Vendors, and others as required to meet schedules Interface with Oceus Customer Support to ensure customer issues are handled promptly and accurately Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel Be proactive in keeping skillsets up to date Exercise great time management Take initiative Qualifications and Requirements: U.S. citizenship Current security clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance Ability to pass a background check including drug testing Bachelor's degree required 12-15+ years of work experience in an engineering discipline related to telecommunications including 4+ years of related experience in a management role and leading teams Excellent knowledge of wireless technologies and related protocols is a plus (NR, LTE, GSM) Working knowledge of VMs and virtual environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher for automated deployments, scaling, and management Demonstrated experience leading or participating in new product development activities Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver with high quality Ability to problem solve and work with minimum supervision Ability to learn fast and work in a team environment Effective written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas and exchange information English language fluency Technical proficiency using PC, Workstation, Mobile phone Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Experience with GIT and similar tools used for product management Proven partnership interaction experience with the ability to manage complex relationships Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated breadth of telecommunications technologies required Availability to work on-site at the Plano office with potential for some telework Availability to travel (less than 25%) Individuals with disabilities who need assistance with the application process may contact us by email: XXXX@oceusnetworks.com or phone: 703-234-XXXX.
