Job Description – Product Director Overview The Product Director is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to market positioning of new and existing products, ensuring that products align with company goals, market trends, and client needs. They play a crucial role in driving product strategy, development, and evaluation within the pharmaceutical market research company. This position reports to the VP, New Product Planning and is based in Exton, PA. Key Responsibilities Act as product champion for new and existing products and services. Develop and execute an 18-month product road map. Develop and articulate a clear product strategy and vision, aligning the product roadmap and product goals with the Company’s overall goals, market trends and client needs. Responsible for product ideation, conceptualization, validation and go-to-market planning. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new product opportunities, improve infrastructure on existing products, and validate products are meeting the needs of our clients. Contribute to business and go-to-market plans, undertake analysis of market/technology trends, competitive landscape, product requirement definitions and identification of opportunities in the market research domain. Evaluate product and fit for purpose KPI’s to ramp down/eliminate product as appropriate. Leverage customer insights, competitor landscape analyses information to create customer segment specific value propositions and effectively position products in the market. Undertake gap analyses as well as evaluations to determine what features are adding the most value. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred Exposure to and proven capabilities in data analytics Proven track record of providing new and innovative solutions to enhance product lines. Proven ability to deliver value-added products and feature in line with product goals. Ability to apply customer and market knowledge to critically validate new and existing product ideas. 5+ year of experience in product management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, is essential. Strong understanding of product management principles, including product lifecycle management, market analysis, and go-to-market strategies. Experience in developing and executing product roadmaps is highly desirable. Required working knowledge and experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and SPSS. Demonstrated ability to work without routine supervision and consistent track record of delivering against objectives. Experience in leading projects and delivering work products within timelines.
