Come work for a company that is a reference in genetics throughout the world! This individual will help lead field operations for soybean selection testing sites encompassing planting, season field spraying and maintenance. If you have experience with the following, GDM encourages you to apply: Essential Functions Travel to various locations to maintain soybean plots throughout the seasons Prepare soybean plots for field day type events Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure crops grow healthy Collect agronomic data from the soybean plots in various locations Operate and transport machinery for soybean planting, spraying, and harvesting Traveling requirements: 50% of the time during season Qualifications Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Crop & Soil Sciences, or similar fields Experience maintaining soybean plots Experience collecting agronomic data for soybeans Experience with planting, growing, harvesting of soybeans Experience with preventative maintenance of vehicles, farm equipment, and with warehouse activities Experience with agriculture/research machinery/equipment Competencies Ability to work without direct supervision in a diverse team environment Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on seasonal needs and prioritize tasks during peak times Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to support department needs Knowledge of farm machinery operation, which includes tractors, sprayers, and combines Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License, Class A CDL, and DOT Health Card Time management What we offer: Growth opportunity Warm and welcoming environment Productive Challenges Robust Benefits package which includes, but is not limited to: Health insurance, vacation days, 401k matching, and catered lunches when you are working from the GDM office!
