COMPANY DESCRIPTION Prairie AquaTech Manufacturing, LLC dba Houdek is a manufacturing company based in Volga South Dakota that is improving animal health and nutrition by providing high-quality feed ingredients. Using patent-pending technologies licensed on a worldwide, exclusive basis from South Dakota State University and developed internally, the Company is upgrading soybean meal to high-quality ingredients used in aquaculture and other animal feeds. JOB DUTIES The procurement specialist will review inventory levels throughout the campus and order supplies and materials promptly. They will also need to identify and establish new vendors as needed. They will be the voice of the company to all vendors. Work safely and follow all safety and environmental processes of the facility. Procurement Create purchase orders in the ERP system that meet the needs of the facility. Create new vendors in the ERP System. Create and publish a vendor scorecard. Negotiate pricing and agreements. Maintain appropriate purchasing records. Manage requisitioning system Work with shipping and receiving to ensure receipts are accurate and entered timely. Any other assigned responsibilities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of: Purchasing inventory in a fast-paced environment Equipment maintenance & parts buying Negotiating Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficient in MS Office Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus Ability to: Follow detailed directions and instructions. Communicate information clearly and concisely.
