Description:
Job Description: The Procurement Specialist will report to the Director of Procurement and will support purchasing and expediting activities for our client’s capital projects. Essential Responsibilities & Duties • Procure materials, consumables, services, and/or equipment to support capital projects in accordance with company processes including the following: o Establish NDA’s with suppliers o Develop and issue requests for proposals o Manage bidding processes o Perform proposal evaluations and prepare recommendations o Negotiate commercial terms and pricing o Prepare purchase orders and issue authorized purchase orders or contracts• Negotiate blanket purchase orders and/or master supply agreements• Expedite material and equipment deliveries• Coordinate with supplier integration of material releases for shipment into PCTs digital data management system• Manage and monitor supplier performance• Develop and update expediting status reports• Expedite the engineering, documentation, fabrication, and shipment of materials, consumables, and/or equipment• Other procurement activities yet to be determined Basic Qualifications ● Engineering degree preferred● 2+ years of procurement experience● Experience negotiating commercial terms● Ability to make cold calls and build relationships ● Experience purchasing instrumentation and/or automation equipment is a plus ● Capital projects experience is a plus● Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Powered by JazzHR
