Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.SummaryThe Procurement Category Manager will work directly with the project engineering team to develop strategy for numerous multi-year capital projects. They will work with project stakeholders to identify and build a strategy to procure goods and services specific to the project. The Category Manager will maintain a project tracker, inclusive of budget and schedule. Category manager will facilitate regular coordination meetings with project group. Category manager will build strategies for spend analysis/mapping, external market analysis, and vendor management.-- He/She will lead project specific sourcing initiatives.Key Responsibilities Develops plan for projects with high-level criticality and complexity. Builds strong stakeholder relationships to prioritize and deliver projects. Manages strategic vendor relationships and performance to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost and supply commitments. Lead sourcing projects including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development. Initiation and negotiation of project related contracts. Owner of contract from start to project close. Own the development and execution, contract amendments, Letters of intent, and addendums. Resolution of contract disputesTypical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience3+ years related experience and/or trainingRequired CertificationsOther Information Knowledge/experience in a commercial/industrial procurement role Working knowledge of industrial systems Good sales, presentation, negotiation, and market/data analytic skills MS Office Strategic Cost Management--Job Requisition ID:--17221Travel Required:--Up to 25%Location(s):--ABW Frontier Office - Pocatello--Country:--United States**The J.R.
