Practice Area: Corporate - Private Equity,Corporate - M&A, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 7 Years, A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the MA resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with private equity (PE) and mergers and acquisitions (MA) data, experience input, and maintenance. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will play a vital role in supporting the PE group's knowledge management efforts, including document preparation, legal research, and staying updated on legal and regulatory developments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and expertise in private equity and corporate transactions. Duties:Assist with PE and MA data input and maintenancePrepare drafts or revise template documents for the PE groupCurate and organize the PE group's forms, precedents, and know-howMonitor legal and regulatory developments relative to PE practice and the firm's core industry verticalsDevelop and maintain the internal landing page for the PE groupCoordinate with the legal education team to prepare content for associate training and firmwide training effortsCollaborate with the PE/MA marketing team on firm promotion and content creationWork with quantitative analysts on matters specific to PE funds and transactionsCollaborate with resource attorneys in other practice groups on best practices and initiativesField day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resourcesContribute to resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects Requirements:Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practiceBasic handle on private equity, including MA, portfolio company management, partnership-based equity compensation, and MA acquisition financingMastery of substantive areas of practice undertaken by the PE practice groupKnowledge of industries regularly advised by the firm Skills:Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and drafting skillsStrong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skillsOrganizational and time management skills with attention to detail Benefits offered:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings account (with the applicable medical plan)Health and dependent care flexible spending accountsPre-tax commuter benefitsLife insurance and accidental death dismemberment coverageLong-term care coverageBackup care for children and/or adults and other parental support benefits
