Practice Area: Corporate - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm seeks a Private Companies Resource Attorney for its Seattle, WA office.Job Overview:The Private Companies Resource Attorney will prepare, improve, annotate, and automate template documents, curate and organize forms, precedents, and other know-how. They will work closely with the legal education team to develop training and educational content, coordinate with lawyers across practice groups to ensure review, updating, and other contributions for practice resources and external publications, and monitor legal and regulatory developments in the Private Companies, Life Sciences Regulatory, and Digital Health practices.Duties:Prepare, improve, annotate, and automate template documents.Curate and organize forms, precedents, and other know-how.Develop training and educational content in the practice group.Coordinate with lawyers and other personnel to ensure review, updating, and contributions for practice resources and external publications.Monitor legal and regulatory developments; prepare summaries and alerts.Develop content for publications and external-facing resources.Assist attorneys with day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and resources.Participate in resource, knowledge management, practice innovation, and technology projects.Perform all other duties as assigned or required.Requirements:Must be a licensed attorney.3-5 years of experience in a US corporate/transactional practice.Well-developed skill set in working with larger, later-stage private companies.A background or interest in life sciences and digital health is preferred.Strong drafting skills are required.Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.Associate experience running closings and coordinating diligence/disclosures on transactions is a transferable skill.Detailed drafting and analysis skills are needed for template documents.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar.Skills:Strong drafting and analytical skills.Excellent organizational and project management abilities.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Familiarity with corporate/transactional practices.Experience with knowledge management and practice innovation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.Benefits:The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, ADD, LTD, short-term medical benefits, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, parental leave, fertility benefits, and more.
