Practice Area: Trusts and Estates,Estate & Tax Planning,Trusts and Estates - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join its Private Clients, Trusts And Estates team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in estate planning, trust administration, and client advisement. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices on estate planning matters.Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and ancillary documents.Conduct research on tax implications of planning techniques and provide projections.Prepare client educational materials and summaries.Communicate directly with clients to understand and advance their estate planning goals.Assist with estate and trust administration as needed.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar.2-5 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.Strong understanding of estate planning strategies and techniques.Ability to work efficiently and effectively under minimal supervision.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with sophisticated lifetime and testamentary planning strategies.Familiarity with New York estate and trust laws.Previous experience working with high-net-worth clients.Proven track record of successful client advisement and relationship management.Skills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases. Although more commonly thought of as a Washington, DC, firm, this New York office has many of the same practice areas. As this firm continues to grow its New York office, this is a tremendous opportunity for associates to get in on the ground floor in terms of shaping the character of the office. We like the litigation work that is being done in this office, as it has a decidedly corporate bent, with an emphasis on securities litigations. A down-to-earth group of attorneys, this office should emerge as a practice unto itself over time.
