Job Summary: As a feeder operator you will be responsible for assisting the pressman in operating and maintaining the offset printing press in an efficient and safe manner. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following. Operate the Feeder; set up loads, set top and side guides, identify good and bad loads, hang plates on printing press Challenge run speed throughout the shift and during each job change Ensure that all daily management boards, dashboards, housekeeping and 5S check lists and completed accordingly for your shift Ensure that appropriate contact relief is made and machine hand-off occurs during shift changes Makes adjustments on machines and ensures that all mechanical parts are running smoothly Fixes and cleans all machines (preventive maintenance and other general repairs) Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, and HACCP. Any other reasonable request from management Required Skills Required Skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Computer skills 1-2 years of printing experience Must be able to work 3rd shift with occasional overtime. (10:45pm-7:15pm) Must be able to lift 35lbs Must be able to push/pull 45lbs. Must be able to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes; safety glasses, steel toed-shoes, ear plugs and cut resistant gloves.
