Summary The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Teck's enterprise data architecture to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and protection. The successful candidate must be an experienced professional who can internalize our various business needs and develop sound architectural solutions to deliver on our business objectives. We are seeking for an individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to nurture and maintain positive relationship with external partners, with sophisticated knowledge of good architecture practices, and proficient experience using data technologies to improve decision making. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, ensuring that the strategy supports delivery of both current and future business objectives Monitor, backss, and improve the organization’s data architecture, including for data models, data flows, data quality, and data integration processes Manage a comprehensive roadmap of architecture change initiatives across the enterprise, detailing current and target states, leading data architecture governance forums, and ensuring stakeholders are briefed and aligned on improvement plans Lead all aspects of the delivery of the data architecture target state through delivery of data standards, standard practices, guidelines, and technical direction Provide technical expertise for change initiatives, working with solution architects, technical architects, and product owners Provide technical oversight to Solution Architects, ensuring solutions adhere to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards, and ensuring that the standards are effective at supporting.
