Job Summary Our Lady of Lourdes in University City is seeking a full-time preschool aide to assist with our three and four-year-old classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Our Lady of Lourdes is a growing Catholic school serving over 300 students in preschool – 8th grade. Be a part of a collaborative team of educators that includes learning consultants, specialists, and partner teachers all working together in a dynamic Catholic environment to promote student learning and success. Ideal candidates are flexible and dependable with strong interpersonal communication skills, and experience assisting in the classroom. Job Responsibilities Assists the Preschool Teacher with individual and group activities to stimulate growth in language, social and motor skills such as learning to listen to instructions, playing with others and using play equipment Assists with instructing children in practices of personal cleanliness and self-care Alternates periods of strenuous activity with periods of rest or light activity to avoid over stimulation and fatigue Helps children develop habits of caring for own clothing and picking up and putting away toys and books Serves meals and refreshments to children Maintains discipline Ensures the health and safety of all children in preschool program The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
