Description:
This is a postdoctoral research position in the Chirco Lab at the Casey Eye Institute. The researcher will work on a funded project, which is focused on conducting translational research using human iPSCs and retinal organoids. This work will focus on better understanding and treating retinitis pigmentosa. Duties will include performing tissue culture, bench research with the samples grown in the lab, testing and optimizing gene editing tools for therapeutic development, and manuscript writing. The applicant will be expected to manage and execute all experiments associated with their research projects. The applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biological sciences, preferably molecular or developmental biology.
