The Cliffs Hotel & Spa Position Description Position: Pool Attendant Department: Rooms Status: Part-time Reports to: Front Office Manager How it connects to our Mission: Our pool attendant's service one of our most crucial amenities that guests enjoy. Ensuring that their experience is the best it can be through proper attention and knowledgeable service all pool attendants are vital in helping provide lasting, happy memories for our guests. Position Summary: The pool attendant is directly responsible for servicing all pool guest with towels and setting up special events such as root beer floats, s'mores and our Dive-In Movie. The pool attendant also maintains the hotel cleanliness and quality standards for the pool area. Pool attendants are crucial members of our service staff that ensure quality service in one of our most highly visited amenities on property Essential Functions of the job: Greet all guests with a welcoming, friendly attitude Set-up pool area with towels and water for guest use Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and furniture throughout shift Communicates issues with manager on duty when necessary Maintain a working knowledge of hotel amenities and services to provide guests with accurate information Understands and enforces pool rules including evicting guests from pool when necessary Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and co-workers Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming Ensure compliance with COVID-19 policies and procedures Physical Requirements: Stand and sit as necessary for the duration of the shift (4-8 hours). Lifting towels dirty and clean (under 15 pounds). Moving towel cart as necessary throughout shift (under 40 pounds) Education, Experience, Skills: Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting preferred. Excellent command of English language. Ability to work with people effectively.
