Copy of DD-214 (long form, including character of discharge) required as proof; Education (5 points): Must have completed at least 60 semester hours at an accredited college or university. Copy of official college transcripts required as proof; Illinois Law Enforcement Certification (5 points): Must have successfully completed the minimum standards and received certification from the Illinois Local Governmental Law Enforcement Officers Training and Standards Board, as provided in the Illinois Police Training Act and are currently serving as a part-time or full-time law enforcement officer in the state of Illinois.
