Plumber - 010 Kokomo, IN, USA Req #221 Wednesday, November 29, 2023 U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for a Plumber position in Kokomo, Indiana. Basic Function: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all plumbing, domestic hot and cold-water systems, sanitary drainage systems, pumps, and fixtures throughout the facility. In addition, perform routine, preventive, and emergency repairs, including fixture replacement. Able to assemble, install, and repair pipes associated with heating, water, and restrooms according to specifications and plumbing codes. Specific Skills & or Experience: Plumbing and pipe fitting Plumbing diagnostic, analysis, and maintenance Humidification and de-humidification systems VAV building comfort systems, including VAV hot water boxes. Pneumatic controls, and actuators Fork Truck Licenses Essential Functions : Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, and brazing. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required length and or angle, using hand and power tools or machines I.e., pipe cutters, pipe-threading, and pipe-bending machines. Install plumbing assemblies, I.e., pipes, fittings, valves, faucets, etc. Attach/hang steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place and in line. Repair, maintain, replace, unclog, and mend restroom drains and water supply lines. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Capable of working from an elevated platform I.e., Geni lift, ladder, scaffold, etc. May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and change business practices. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma/GED. Minimum of two years of plumbing experience. Licensed or certified Journeyman preferred. Familiar with plumbing installations Knowledge of plumbing Team player with a strong work ethic. Has a history of safe work practices and training. Possess basic computer skills. Able to communicate effectively with management, our customers, contractors, and co-workers. Willingness to learn new skills and assist co-workers. Has a valid Driver's License in good standing.
