Plant Supervisor

In your role as a Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following essential functions: Oversee the operations of the plant including managing employees, meeting production projections, and ensuring quality. Approve payroll hours. Troubleshoot production problems as they are brought to your attention. Audit production to proactively identify manufacturing issues or problems. Identify employee training needs. Work with process and product engineers to develop implement new processes or products. Resolve HR issues with employees as first line of interaction. Work with new employees to on-board and train new employees. Identify cross training opportunities or requests to ensure ultimate flexibility of workforce. Minimize and schedule all OT work necessary to meet production schedules. Ensure the workforce is working in compliance with all health and safety standards. Work with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all equipment is operating at ultimate efficiency. Complete equipment calibrations when requested by Process Engineer. Track key production data to track machine center and operator productivity. To be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications andor experience: High school education if paired with at least 3-5 years of plant leadership experience OR Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal . Strong organizational skills, resulting in a neat and orderly workspace . Ability to work with little supervision. Ability to interpret financial data. MS Office experience. Ability to manage projects. Familiarity with health and safety regulations of wire & cable manufacturing environment. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday schedule, OT as needed to support the Plant. Other important information to consider: The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
