Job Description Join our Stepan team as a Plant Manager This position provides complete operational oversight and leadership of Stepan's chemical manufacturing plant in Winder, GA including the functions of EHS and S, production, engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, HR, logistics, and finance. A relocation package may be offered to those that meet the criteria. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security regulatory compliance and ongoing continuous improvement in these areas.Drives performance excellence in Occupational Safety and Process Safety.Drives company growth and productivity improvements through: 1) organization design and staffing optimization, 2) implementation of standard KPI's, work processes and management systems, 3) implementation of continuous improvement methodologies including lean and six sigma, 4) execution of capital projects in EHS, maintenance, cost reduction and growth, and 5) scale:up and commercialization support of new productsLeads the implementation of Standard Management Operating Systems (MOS) to optimize plant performance across all functional areas. Utilizes Operational Excellence tools such as lean manufacturing, six sigma and others to improve asset utilization and capacity, reduce operating costs, improve product quality and improve plant reliabilityFully supports company Sustainability goals and generates measurable improvements and results to support these goalsLeads plant operations to meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of product quality and service levelsMeets or exceeds company and site financial performance expectations and performance goals for material variances, plant operating expenses, capex execution and continuous improvement cost savingsEnsures the highest level of performance at the plant site by demonstrating and reinforcing company valuesDevelops and supports company multi:year operating strategies by ensuring that facility infrastructure systems are maintained and functioning at optimal levels.Develops multi:year prioritized plans to ensure site assets perform reliablyEnsures that internal company Human Resource work processes, tools and resources are effectively utilized to build organizational capability and support employee personal developmentMeets or exceeds balanced scorecard and local operational goals for EHS and S, Service, Quality, Productivity and Reliability through use of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and other performance measurementsWorks collaboratively with Business Platforms and other Site Leaders and Teams to ensure the site is supporting strategic plans and associated goalsActive participant in local community efforts. Qualifications 10 to 15 years of relevant Plant Operations experience in both individual and leadership rolesExcellent understanding of chemical plants and associated processes; experience in batch chemical processes preferredExperience in PSM (Process Safety Management) regulated plantsAbility to work in Plant Operations (Indoors and outdoors)Travel: Less than 10 Education Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required LI:NK1 LI:Onsite Stepan Company does not accept or retain unsolicited resumes or phone calls and/or respond to them or to any third party representing job seekers.
