Plant Controller ID 2023-2227 Category Accounting/Finance Division Cincinnati Division Position Overview The Plant Controller is responsible for the overall accounting operations for the Cincinnati location of Green Bay Packaging, Inc., including financial reporting and budgeting while managing the Accounting and IT staff and responsibilities. This position reports to the facilities Vice President/General Manager. Responsibilities Direct all phases of accounting, including financial reports and budgeting.Month end closings, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, account reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, capital expenditures and sales taxes.Oversee, manage, and evaluate the accounting staff, including the payroll administrator and ensure accounting staff is properly trained.Review all entries in financial statements.Perform various business analysis as needed.Actively participate in the facility's Lead Team, working closely with other Managers to help oversee successful operations of the facility. Work closely with other Managers to assist in identifying and realizing cost savings opportunities and operational improvements.Develop and utilize Power BI tools to help improve results in the key business drivers. Qualifications Strong business ethics.Thorough understanding of a manufacturing facility preferably in the corrugated industry but not necessarily.Excellent communication skills, able to speak effectively to all levels of employees.Computer literacy, proficiency in major software packages, including accounting software and good overall IT understanding.Ability to read and interpret financial statements, regulatory laws, contracts, professional journals, business periodicals.High level math skills required. Demonstrated ability to present financial alternatives and recognize financial trends and performance.Excellent reasoning skills, ability to solve practical problems.Proven leadership ability.Superior time management and able to multitask.Excellent listening ability, provide positive and corrective feedback as needed.Demonstrated crisis management, great emotional control is required.Working knowledge in building and using Power BI reports a plus.Experience: Five years of experience as an accounting managerThree years of experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredProven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems. Preferred candidates have:CPA/CMA licenseExperience in the corrugated industry Computer Skills: Strong MS Office knowledge a must, especially MS Excel strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Acumatica, Crystal Report Writing and Power BI is preferred.
