Position Overview: HeyTutor has partnered with school districts in Plainfield and is seeking dedicated In-Person Tutors to assist students with English and Math during school hours. If you're passionate about making a difference in your community, pursuing a career in education, or seeking part-time, consistent hours, this opportunity is perfect for you. Location: Multiple locations available for your convenience Compensation: Pay range: $21 - $26 per hour, depending on experience (determined at the time of interview) Signing Bonus: $250 for qualified candidates who complete 100 hours of tutoring within their first 30 days (excluding training). Responsibilities: Provide in-person tutoring support to students in English and Math, ranging from 3rd-5th grade Actively engage with students to address learning gaps and reinforce key concepts Supervise and mentor students to foster a positive learning environment Requirements: Previous tutoring experience with a strong aptitude for working with children Proficiency in English and Math instruction for elementary and middle school levels Minimum education Some college; however, candidates with an Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree are preferred Comfortable working in a classroom setting and collaborating with school staff Ability to pass an in-person background check (FBI-DOJ) and provide a negative TB screening Schedule: Monday-Friday, 77.5 hours per week (5.5 hours per shift) Shifts between 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM, varying across several different school locations Equal Opportunity Employer: HeyTutor recruits, employs, trains, compensates, and promotes individuals regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disabilities, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law.
