A Houston-based OCTG pipe manufacturer is seeking an experienced Pipe Process Engineer. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience. Pipe Process Engineer Job Purpose: The Process Engineer uses professional knowledge and experience to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of all production lines and associated systems. They continuously monitor industry, production, and maintenance trends to identify key issues, concerns, or challenges and apply an analytical approach to developing practical, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to anticipated challenges based on the analysis conducted. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/office Work involves lifting of materials and products up to 30 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hard hats. Pipe Process Engineer Duties and Responsibilities: Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new pipe manufacturing / API-related Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows; applies an objective approach to optimize desired Assembles reports to company and industry standards to document process status and Identifies, tracks, and analyzes metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor Effectively Communicates at the executive level to convey findings and suggest proposals to upper Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies when Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process Conducts continuous and holistic assessments to reduce levels of organizational risk and associated Continuously assesses organizational compliance with applicable safety and quality Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as required Other duties or tasks as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Pipe Process Engineer Qualifications & Required Skills: 7-10 years of experience improving operations by updating procedures, equipment, & personnel (preferably API). Advanced understanding of pipe manufacturing operations (API Q1, API 5CT, API 5B, API 5L, ISO 9001, and ASTM). Excellent analytical and math skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively persuade & influence others to change existing practices Strong attention to detail Proven ability to identify, assess and solve complex & dynamic problems Adept with computer and information technology; extensive knowledge of process engineering software systems Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations 5-7 years of previous experience working with CAD and AutoCAD Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial/System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field of CSEP, CPE, PE, or a similar equivocal technical certification MSE, MBA, or a similar graduate-level degree
