As part of this team, you will be connected to our global network of technical experts translating insights and new technologies into winning propositions. You will possess a growth mindset anchored in Demand Spaces with a passion for product stewardship. The R & D Pilot Line Operator is responsible for the Health and Safety and Food Safety elements of setting up trial parameters as required by the trial lead. This person will understand the capabilities and limitations of the processing lab as well as the pilot line. This will include moving equipment into the correct line set up, ensuring it is ready for use (i. e. sanitized and safe) and helping the trial lead run the actual trial. These trials may be on new and/or improved products for regional / global projects or may involve the testing of new technologies. The position supports global and regional projects with an emphasis on new product innovations, process improvements, cost improvements, or other work as assigned. The R & D Pilot Line Operator is also responsible for ensuring that the Pilot Facilities systems are maintained. Things like gathering water samples, HACCP documentation, and ensuring all safety policies and procedures are current and implemented. Ensuring all files are uploaded to Share Point and data collection and entry are accurate. QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years’ experience in potato processing Self motivated Ability to work with minimal supervision Embraces the opportunity to lead others Leadership training is an asset Ability to work with and communicate with internal and external project owners.
