Also, we know how to kick it in gear / get things moving quickly if the clinic gets overwhelming/busy and move as a single unit.” As a Physical Therapist Technician, your primary duties typically include: -Assisting with patient intake: This involves greeting patients, obtaining necessary paperwork, and ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.-Supporting therapy sessions: You'll help set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for patients. During sessions, you may assist the therapist by demonstrating exercises, providing modalities, manual therapy such as massage, and ensuring patient safety.-Documenting patient progress: Accurate record-keeping is essential. You'll document patient responses to treatment, progress in exercises, and any concerns or observations noted during sessions.-Maintaining equipment and supplies: Keeping therapy areas clean and organized, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring adequate supplies are available are part of your responsibilities.-Communicating with patients: You may provide instructions to patients regarding their home exercises or follow-up appointments. Clear communication and patient education are crucial for successful therapy outcomes.-Collaborating with the therapy team: You'll work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.Overall, your role as a Physical Therapist Technician is to support the therapy team in providing high-quality care to patients, facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation process. Requirements: -High school diploma or equivalent.-Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.-Able to work with a variety of patients and medical professionals. Skills: -Ability to handle patients with various personalities-Dedication to continuous learning and development-Fluent English-Strong interpersonal communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease.-Physical Demands: while performing the duties of this job, one must be able to stand for periods of up to 6-8 hours at a time.
