A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PET GROOMER As a Pet Groomer, you play a vital role in our operations as you ensure that each dog enjoys clean, healthy skin and fur and that the cut is done according to breed standards and client preferences. You perform standard grooming services such as brushing, de-matting, de-shedding, and conditioning. Other services you provide include ear cleanings, nail trims, specialized breed cuts, and mixed-breed styles. As needed, you also perform special requests and help pet parents identify solutions to their pet's unique needs.While you prepare, bathe, and finish animals, you promote a safe and positive grooming experience for all with your calm demeanor and use of best practices. Always cleaning up after dogs, you maintain a clean and sanitary environment. The trusting relationships that you build with clients and their furry friends help our company to grow and thrive. You love providing first-class care as you help each dog look and feel its best! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PET GROOMER 2+ years of experience in pet grooming Knowledge of breed cuts and AKC standards Certification is preferred but not required. Are you self-motivated and great at managing your time? Can you care for all animals with respect and kindness? Are you an efficient worker? Do you work well with people? Are you interested in furthering your knowledge and certification in the field? Are you a dog lover? If yes, you might just be perfect for this pet grooming position! WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PET GROOMER This pet care position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday from 7 AM - 2 PM , or until you've finished working on your last pet for the day.
