Personal Injury Legal Secretary

Are you an experienced legal secretary who thrives in a fast-paced law office environment? You might be just what we're looking for as our next personal injury legal assistant. We need someone to assist our attorneys, paralegals, and clients. You'll be in charge of preparing and typing correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and other documents. Other responsibilities will include scanning, copying, and filing, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings and court appearances, ordering supplies, and informing our legal team of upcoming deadlines. You'll also order medical and billing records and submit paperwork electronically in state and federal courts. If you take pride in consistently delivering high-quality work, contact us today! Responsibilities: --- Make calls and respond to emails, contact opposing attorney offices, take dictation, and advise the team of deadlines --- Create and proofread pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and papers for case preparation --- Submit documents electronically in both state and federal court, and request billing and medical records --- Speak with expert witnesses as well as clients, other vendors, and medical professionals Qualifications: --- Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment --- Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs --- 1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistant --- An Associate's degree or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required --- Proficient with MS Office products About Company: At The Rizzuto Law Firm, we put our employees first.
