We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Susinteraction to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Responsibilities: Prepare for, and work with individual young people to backss their needs and circumstances through Pathway Planning, implement packages of intervention and support and evaluate and monitor progress considering best value options. Manage a caseload under regular supervision. backss needs, risks and options taking into account legal and other requirements. Work effectively in partnership with other staff and voluntary agencies and gain a good understanding of all the relevant health, voluntary and private services in the area. Report any allegation or suspicions of abuse or potential abuse of a vulnerable person to an immediate manager or supervisor. Use professional knowledge to negotiate with and on behalf of those people who access or need the service and with a wide range of providers and other professionals, including acting as a personal advocate for service users. Ensure effective implementation of department policies and procedures in line with statutory responsibilities. Qualifications: Relevant degree, or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstratingthat level of applied knowledge in providing advice and support to youngpeople. Relevant postgraduate professional qualification, or equivalent qualification orequivalent demonstrable experience. Theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of legislation and national policy developments regarding youth, and their implications for practice, in particular the field of Leaving Care. Understanding of working with young people in crisis and the delivery ofsupport and advice to enable and encourage them in their transition from adolescence to adulthood, maintaining a focus on the needs of the individual whilst handling.
