Mozaic (a chapter of The ARC) is looking for Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSPs) to work with individuals with disabilities and help them achieve their goals! DSPs promote positive self-esteem of individuals in a home setting or in the community through consistent positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unconditional respect of individuals' rights. We have full-time and relief positions available! Direct Support Professional Duties and Responsibilities: Provides services to individuals as planned in their Life Plan/Individual Service Plan (ISP) Plans and coordinates daily activities according to the individual's goals Acts as an advocate for individuals Assists with Activities of Daily Living Skills such as showering, bathing, toileting, cooking and more. Assists and supports individuals with community integration Respects the individual's right to privacy and confidentiality by appropriate use of written and verbal communication Are you qualified? High School Diploma/GED preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not needed. Basic computer skills Valid and clean NYS driver's license (3 years experience) preferred Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment Benefits for Per Diem Staff: Flexible Schedules Paid Sick Leave Daily pay option instead of bi-weekly New Enhanced Pay up to $18.50 per.
