Position Details Primary focus is to provide occupational therapy services to the pediatric population Provides specialized treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorders/PDD, cerebral palsy, brain injury, ADHD, orthopedic conditions, developmental delays, sensory integration dysfunction, etc. In addition to pediatrics, may also provide services to hospital inpatients, outpatients and nursing home residents, in accordance to the profession's scope and standards Provides supervision of occupational therapy assistants Participates in program development and quality assurance, serves on assigned hospital committees and assists with marketing May provide consultative services within the scope of occupational therapy practice to industries or other businesses and individuals What you offer Must be a graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapy and be licensed to practice occupational therapy in the state of Minnesota or hold a temporary license and be eligible to sit for the national board under the condition that the board is passed and licensure is approved within 6 months of employment Must possess good technical skills and excellent communication skills Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of practices and procedures within the scope and standards of occupational therapy practice Pediatric experience preferred Nursing home and transitional care experience a plus Must be able to pass a background study through the Minnesota Department of Human Services Work Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Benefits: Full-time positions includes health, dental, paid time off, retirement plan, life and long-term disability insurances.
