In February 2013, CHRISTUS Childrens finalized an agreement with Baylor College of Medicine, ranked as the 6 medical school by U.S. News and World Report in 2020:21. Baylor College of Medicine recruits, employs, and oversees physicians at the childrens hospital. Baylor College of Medicine (bcm.edu) is recognized as one of the nations premier academic health science centers and is known for excellence in education, research, healthcare, and community service. BCM is currently associated with multiple educational, healthcare, and research affiliates. Summary The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full:time pediatric cardiology faculty position at CHRISTUS Childrens. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the department of pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The candidates credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment. Job Duties Clinical duties include patient care responsibilities and outpatient clinic at CHRISTUS Childrens. Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other students in related fields (e.g., nursing students, dietary students, pharmacy students), who observe the physician directly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Minimum Qualifications stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: M.D. degree : Related experience required. : Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).: Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
