Job Overview:The Patents Patent Agent will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, collaborating with inventors to assess patentability of AI technologies, conducting prior art searches, and staying updated on AI technology and patent laws. Duties:Drafting and prosecuting patent applicationsCollaborating with inventors to assess patentability of AI technologiesConducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analysesMaintaining knowledge of the latest AI technology and patent laws to assist internal and external stakeholders Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related technical field involving AI/MLExperience with AI models, neural networks, deep learningExperience with AI/ML theory: backpropagation, regularization, optimization; preprocessing data, selecting features, training/tuning models; deploying models to production environmentsDomain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision, or related AI fields preferredExperience liaising with clients to develop and manage portfoliosRegistered to practice with the USPTO Skills:Strong understanding of AI/ML principlesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAttention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Education:Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related technical field involving AI/ML Certifications:Registered to practice with the USPTO
