The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of legal experience, focusing on intellectual property (IP) law, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution.Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications for clients in various industries.Conduct patentability and infringement analyses.Collaborate with inventors, clients, and colleagues to strategize patent portfolio development.Communicate with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) regarding patent applications.Perform legal research and analysis related to patent law and intellectual property issues.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.Experience in intellectual property law, specifically drafting and patent prosecution.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Familiarity with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies preferred.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Bar licensure in California is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.Certifications:Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.Bar licensure in California is a plus.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Familiarity with patent prosecution procedures and USPTO rules and regulations.
