The successful candidate must effectively communicate with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties both verbally and in writing. They should produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively. The role requires providing timely, accurate, and quality work product, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive work relationships. The attorney must comply with all firm policies and practices, engage in various activities including digital/virtual conference calls and meetings, and perform other assigned duties. They should be familiar with patent prosecution, client counseling, drafting patent applications, freedom to operate opinions, and due diligence. Strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools and prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm are preferred. The candidate must hold a J.D. degree, have a chemical engineering or chemistry degree, be licensed to practice law in the state, and be admitted to the USPTO.
