Job Overview:Conduct prior art searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Analyze patent and scientific documents to support patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Must possess excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English. Duties:Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Analyze patent and scientific papers to support patent prosecution and litigation efforts.Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Collaborate with patent attorneys and clients to understand technical aspects of inventions.Maintain knowledge of industry trends and developments in material science and chemical engineering. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in material science, chemical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering, or a related field.Substantive industry experience in chemical engineering or material science.Broad scientific knowledge in material science and/or chemical engineering.Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.Registered US patent agent or eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam. Certifications:Registered US patent agent or eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam. Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to conduct comprehensive prior art searches.Proficiency in drafting patent applications and responses to office actions.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
