Practice Area: Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in Houston is seeking a Patent Agent with 2+ years of experience to support the firm's patent prosecution practice. The candidate will draft patent applications and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, specializing in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers. Strong technical expertise and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential. Duties:Draft patent applications and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Conduct technical research to support various patent-related matters.Draft scientific and technical patent applications clearly and concisely.Manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments from multiple partners and clients.Provide support to attorneys in patent prosecution matters.Assist in evaluating and analyzing patent portfolios. Requirements:Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in a relevant field.Proven experience drafting patent applications, specializing in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers.Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Strong time management skills.Attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Education:Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in a relevant field. Certifications:Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.If appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state. Skills:Technical expertise in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers.Strong time management skills.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Attention to detail.Collaborative team player.
