The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology with a minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. Strong academic credentials and admission to practice before the USPTO are required. Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areasRespond to office actions from the USPTOAssist in the preparation of opinions on patentability, validity, and infringementConduct prior art searches to assess patentability and freedom-to-operateCollaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategiesStay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent lawProvide technical expertise in patent litigation mattersManage patent portfolios and provide strategic advice to clients Requirements:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic spaceAdmission to practice before the USPTOStrong academic credentials Education:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology Certifications:Admission to practice before the USPTO Skills:Excellent drafting and analytical skillsStrong understanding of immunology, virology, and molecular biologyAbility to conduct thorough prior art searchesEffective communication and collaboration skillsProficiency in patent prosecution softwareFamiliarity with patent laws and regulations A regional powerhouse firm with strong political history, this firm is regarded as the 15th Best Law Firm in the Mid-Atlantic.
