The Deseret Book Store in Mesa, Arizona is excited to announce an opening for associates in the Sweet Retreat - featuring BYU Creamery Ice Cream! We are looking for candidates who will: Cheerfully and eagerly assist customers Monitor food supplies in a timely manner Keep the Sweet Retreat clean and organized Maintain a high standard of excellence Oversee retail store operations such as cashiering, gift wrapping, merchandise presentation, shipping/receiving, store recovery, etc Supervise, train, and motivate store associates Give assignments and follow up to ensure timely completion Perform store opening and closing assignments **This position requires flexible availability on days, evenings, and Saturdays**We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications: Superior customer service skills Ability to coach and lead store associates Ability to see problems and work proactively to correct them Self-motivated with good team skills Basic janitorial duties Food handler's permit required or ability to acquire one Benefits 401(k) savings plan Merchandise discount Closed Sundays Great work environment Equal Opportunity and Diversity We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds to apply.
