If you enjoy working outside, you may be a great addition to our Golf Course Maintenance team. Make a difference with the City of Hutchinson! The Part-Time Lead Golf Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting with mowing and maintenance of the golf course grounds. Shifts will normally be between the hours of 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (October - March) and 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (April - September). Rotating weekends are required during the summer months. A DAY IN THE LIFE: Performs mowing duties on fairways, greens, tee boxes, rough, etc,; raking bunkers, clean and remove trash and debris from golf course; performs course setup for daily play and tournaments. Operates course equipment including riding mowers, utility vehicles and other related equipment. Perform cleaning and maintenance in course buildings; performs painting duties; operates course equipment including riding mowers, push mowers, handheld equipment, utility vehicles and other related equipment. WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR SUCCESS: EDUCATION: No high school diploma or GED required EXPERIENCE: Turf management experience required and knowledge/familiarity with golf courses and equipment is preferred. LICENSE: Must possess a valid Kansas Driver's License. OTHER: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. The City of Hutchinson employs over 400 employees that serve our community every day.
