Our Portland defense firm is hard at work, and we are looking to add a part-time Help Desk Technician to join our team. KJH offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Duties: ● Ensure proper computer operation for end users by documenting, prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving help desk requests, and completing maintenance or other administration tasks as assigned ● Work closely with all levels of attorneys and staff as well as IT vendors to resolve hardware and software issues ● Use diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, communicate with end users, train users on basic system and computer functions, and escalate issues to IT Director when needed ● Perform hardware/software installations ● Assist in maintaining inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies ● Maintain and support audio/video conferencing systems ● Follow up with users to ensure positive resolution of tickets ● Ability to lift 40 pounds ● Serve as backup to Office Services personnel as needed ● Assist with other projects as requested Qualifications: ● Proficiency in common computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office ● 1+ year relevant experience or relevant schooling required ● Prior IT experience in the legal industry preferred ● Knowledge of legal software a plus ● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail ● Ability to work with all levels of attorneys and staff with professionalism, patience and diplomacy ● Consistent demonstration of good judgment and cognitive thinking ● Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and consistently deliver high quality work. ● Take initiative and be self-managing ● Willing to contribute to a team-oriented environment ● Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions ● Available for overtime as needed This is a nonexempt position that is scheduled to work 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (20 hours per week) – there is some flexibility in the work schedule. THIS POSITION IS IN THE OFFICE 5 DAYS PER WEEK, THERE IS NO REMOTE WORK AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
